When you check a sits backlinks with google toolbar, its always a dramaticly less number then with yahoo backlinks tool. From my understanding the ones that show up in google are the ones that google is counting towards your PR so basicly those are the most important and most relevant links?

I think all backlinks count towards PR and the toolbar shows a random portion of the links. I'm not 100% on this.

i dont know i think that the ones google shows are the most relevant to your site and contribute most to your PR im prlly wrong though dnno

I think Google only shows some of them, randomly. They intentionally don't want to be very accurate on this.
