I'm pleased to say, I'll be expecting a check from adsense next month. :) Obviously it will be in USD. What's the cheapest way to cash it to GBP? Is there no way to avoid the bank charges?

I hoping to receive my first check in the next few days. I have also noticed that when I log into my adsense account the payment history area says "No data available". Wonder why!

Which site you got it on chromate? And how long you had adsense on please?

I've got it on a couple of sites. Only one of them is really bringing in the money at the moment, because after the last update I got a good position on google with it. I don't really want to reveal the site just yet because it could easily be toppled at the moment as it's so new and as it's my only online revenue at the moment I want to keep it under hats until it's a bit more competitive.

I've had it on AdSense for about a month, though as I say, it only really started making decent money in the last 10 days.

Thanks Incka! :) Now all I have to is get my other sites nicely placed in the search engines too and all will be well!

It'll pay *some* of my bills anyway :)

Way to go Chromate. Donate some to charity, you'll feel even better. Might I suggest "Bugsy needs a Ferrari" charity group :)

Wow, you made he $100 in that short of time? I have been working on 3 months... still nothing... up to like $70.00...

well, my earnings from adsense varies wildly. Some days I'll make loads and other days I'll literally only make like $2 or something. Can't get my head around it. It's weird.

One day when I had it on I made $15.52 the next I made $0.21

Changing the styles daily could help?

It's not that, at least in my case. I get pretty much the same CTR each day. It's the CPC that changes. My theory is that Google don't take a set percentage, it probably varies. Only speculation though, as Chris would say :)

Anyway, back to the original post, what's the best way to convert this money? At the moment the exchange rate is: 1 GBP = 1.72150 USD

Not good :( Plus there will be charges for the conversion on top of that I would imagine. I wonder if there's some way I can do it cheaply. Hmmmm.

I would wait until the rate goes down to 1.63...

Not sure what you should do, but I do think google should offer wireless transfer or something to avoid hassle etc.

Yeah, I seem to remember reading that they were going to in the future?

Until then, I guess I'll wait for better rates.

Wiring money is expensive in the USA. However it is very cheap here in the UK.

Wire transfer is the way forward. I also read that they were going to introduce it in google soon chromate as well.

The service charge on wire transfers in my country is around US$10.00.

I know it's around £8 in Switzerland, because I've got a client their that always likes to wait for a decent amount before sending me any money :)

In the UK there is a British Standard Bank Tranfer and banks do not charge for this. Amazon.co.uk sends money when their affiliates get only £10 because of this.

I think google should use paypal actually. That way there would be no charges for me:)

Paypal has already suspended a load of accounts, including templatemonster.com's.

Also many say that they have unreliable customer service and staff that are not to be trusted, although I must say I have had no problems.

They've been good for me so far, very good:)
