My first content site is up. It is call Photographer Tips and the domain is:
http://photographertips.net
I have super SE friendly URLs eg:
http://photographertips.net/photography/understanding-aperture/
I have submitted a google sitemap and I am in a few photography directories. I only have 3 pages of content, but that will build over time as I write more.
As for adsense I have 250x250 units inside the articles, I am not sure where else to put them so any suggestions would help. I am trying to take it step by step through both Jon and Chris' articles. Let the floodgates open.

Should i submit articles?
Where should I place my adsense?
What do you think about the site?
Where should I go from here?
If this is in the wrong forum then feel free to move it.

Congrats on getting your first site out the door. It looks nice.

A couple of small nitpicks on one of your articles, though (and I say this only to help).

The actual aperture is either automatic or controlled by turning the front of the lens. Rather than moving smoothly, like a focus knob, it moves steadily and clicks through all the different apertures.

Many newer cameras, especially digital SLR's have aperture controls for the lens on the camera. The camera then sends a signal to the electronics in the lens which adjusts aperture accordingly.

The maximum aperture possible is f/1 and the minimum is f/32.

High-end lenses will let you go all the way to f/64 and I have seen ones that, on the other end, open up to f/0.8

Overall, I think the articles could be a little more thorough, but they are a good base for expanding on and building a foundation of basic photography tips.

The article states that the "actual aperture is either automatic or controlled by turning the front of the lens"

Thanks for the tips. Wikipedia is wrong for once.

I will revise.

Ah, ok, I thought you meant automatic as in automatically determined by the camera, as in, in an automatic mode. When my camera is on manual, the control dials to set the aperture manually are still on the camera, not the lens.

I have changed the article now.

Thanks for your help.

Should i use adsense link units or a vertical banner?

Your site isn't coming up for me...
thats becuase my domain was mysteriously cancelled. To make matters worse, i can't access my wordpress cntrol panel becuase of the domain settings. I can't get to the control panel, or find where the setting is stored so i am screwed until I get it back.
