View Full Version : Chris - article being copied?

04-22-2006, 07:24 AM

I was searching Google for info on the Co-Op Ad network, and found your article (http://www.websitepublisher.net/article/digitalpoint/) (which I'd seen before), and then a couple pages later, an identical one (http://www.articlealley.com/article_18017_16.html) at Article Alley by a certain 'Bill Holder'.

Are you aware of this?

thanks, and no I wasn't

Cool, it was a pretty damn blatant rip.

This article is free for republishing.

Wow, that really adds insult to injury!

If they look at both pages, they might side with the other guy...

The dates make it look like the other guy wrote the article first, by five months!!

Nope - looks like he published it in December if you're from this side of the world.

ya... on this site I do year/month/day

on their site they do month, day, year.

Grrr... they still haven't taken it down. :flare: I'm stepping up my attacks.

This author, bill holder, owns http://www.ukwebmasterforums.com -- which is full of "borrowed" usenet postings.

He is about to get banned from adsense though. Check out his forum signature:

So, this bozo does link building with stolen articles and breaks adsense rules. What a wonderful human being.

Crappy thing though is that it looks like the host of articlealley.com is UK. I sent in a copyright request but it isn't like DMCA efficiency. I'll send a request to Google though to get them delisted.

Looks like the fool also runs a hosting company, session9.co.uk. Thats great, a copyright infringer running a hosting company..... why doesn't he just move to China?

I think Bill Holder is the original writer and Chris copied it all...maybe this whole site is just copied content?

Kidding...I'm just kidding! That's pretty crappy to find some of your material somewhere else on the net! I hope it doesn't happen to me some day...when I get material up on the net that is. :)

Whatever you did, it stopped breathing. :D

Yes, Confirmed, Mr Holder is a company director of Session9 Limited ...

(I checked the companies register).
