I have a forum site that is spcifically for New Zealanders and when the site was in it's early days, it still is really, I used to promote it on deviantART. I was just using a backlink checker tool and saw a load of links show up. This got me thinking.

I checked the PRs of these links and found that they are all PR3, 4 and 5s. I have also never seen a vulgar or spam commend deleted.

DeviantART had very cheap advertising on it for a while too. It was country targeted and I nearly went for it:

Package Impressions Rate Duration
$15 100,000 $0.15 CPM, over 1 week
$25 210,000 $0.12 CPM, over 1 week
$50 500,000 $0.10 CPM, over 1 week
$100 1,250,000 $0.08 CPM, over 2 weeks

DeviantArt is a great place to recruit artists if you are doing t-shirts or need some fancy mascot designed. How up to date are those ad costs? I thought I may have run into the owner of the site online like 5 years ago, but I never saw him again.

I'm a deviantART member and it was in the news, but ry as I might I couldn't find the article again. If you have an artist site then you could get some damn good traffic from deviantART.

Can I buy directly from them? Google has a .25 CPM minimum for site targeted ads. With sites like Deviant were average pageviews per unique are high, there is no way to be profitable at that number.

Try emailing the admin. Or ask in the daviantART help IRC chatroom.

This is a good opportunity, let me know if you place an ad and i'll have a look for it.
