I need a web tool that discects the links of a competitor, displaying not the amount of links pointed toward them, but the keywords of those links.

Basically, something that says:

3,403 links pointed toward websitepublisher.net with the anchor "website publisher"

234 links pointing toward websitepublisher.net with the anchor "publish websites"

30 links with anchor "website publishing" etc.

Anything out there like it?

Shawn, I have exactly the tool you need...

Chris, I hope you don't mind me posting my affiliate link! If you do, feel free to edit.

Don't let the huge sales letter put you off. I bought a copy myself months back, and I have to say that it is excellent for gathering information about your competition's linking strategies. Everything is displayed statistically and it makes it easy to see what is going on. Well worth the money in my opinion. I've used it a lot.

Yeah, I don't use SEO Elite but I understand that it does have that feature.

As a side note, check out this free video/presentation on link building:

Its long, but Dan discusses some of the finer points of incoming links and anchor text. Its very good, and I learned quite a bit watching it.
