Hi,

I am wondering if any of you guys know any cheap designers who are relatively good. I am thinking a budget of $30-50. As I said cheap.

Please give me some help here, every designer I contact will not contact me back. Or they will but way after I have decided to forget about that project, is that the reason they are cheap?

Please help me out here

Regards
Ben

As in buy a template, like a pre-made one from sitepoint? Or as in one from templatemonster?

I'm not familiar with sitepoint. But i guess anywhere?
I was implying a source more liike templatemonster.

I was kind of wanting a template that is not really common, more unique

You didn't state what you wanted designed, but $30-$50 would be too cheap for most if not all tasks.

If you're looking for a website designed, the cheapest option would be to buy a template from a site such as templatemonster.com (http://templatemonster.com). If you're looking for a 'unique' design then your best bet would be to run a contest on a site such as http://gfxcontests.com/ - you would probably need to spend closer to $200 though.

Good god, I remember about a year ago you could get a teenager to design your site for $30 and it would look relatively good.

$200 is still cheap for a unique template. How much do you reckon I'd have to put up for a header image?

You get what you pay for. $30 - $50 for a layout is extremely cheap. The designer deserves more than that.

200-300 is relativly cheap for a nice template. :) 30-40 will just buy you some hack job, you're almost better off having a go yourself!

You could buy yourself a nice design theory book for $40, just a thought. :)

A word of warning, templates aren't usually very SE friendly.

I am just looking for a template, not a coded one. I can code strictly, so that is no problem.

Thanks Michael

So when you say design, you basically mean an image, and you'll cut it up and code it?

No, I mean a PSD that I will cut it up.

This is probably your best bet with the budget you're looking for. You might not get anything as low as you'd like but you'll likely get offers close.

The cheaper you go though, the more likely you are to have problems with the work.
