http://www.gardeningblog.net/

Everything was done by Cutter.

I like gardening and can easily write about it so I figured that I might as well make a blog, could generate a few hundred a month eventually possibly.

Nice header and overall look, but I am seeing the text over run the light green box and also the same with the comments box. (in Firefox)

Also how come Google is showing ads for loans?

All site load fine from here.

The gardening blog looks good, I'll be reading it as I am a gardening dummy - luckily I live where everything seems to grow no matter what you do.

I'm getting the text is flowing over the footer and also the images in the copy could do with some padding as the text is butting right up to them.

Your IPs must be getting blocked for some reason.

could you guys who can't access it try again?

Looks nice but the text is over running the light green content background and the footer is up into the text and it's all jumbled together.

This may or may not be the case for you, but the footer up into the content is normally caused from not using the width and height attributes for your images.

Ya... I'll have cutter look at it when he's back from Christmas vacation.

I think it has something to do with
height: 600px; remove that and it works - I haven't checked anything else though.

Works for me now. I get the footer prob too in Ff, not IE.

Looks like a nice site - good luck with it!

Here is what the problem was...

I use APF firewall and it was set to block certain IP blocks such as unassigned ips, private networks, etc.

Some of these IP blocks have changed in the last 2 years since I got this server, namely a couple British ISPs are using them now for the public.

So updated the firewall with a new list and all is well.

Great idea, nice site. You continue to come up with interesting products. Font size is probably too small to begin with and the fact that it cannot be adjusted by the user will make the site almost unusable by some of your older prospective readers.

the text is overlapping the adsense ads at the bottom which stops a user from clicking (firefox)

I think it may be solved by adding clear:both; to #footernest
I haven't looked too deeply into the code, though. I just looked, saw lots of floats, and only one clearing element. 99% of the time if it's got to do with floats, the issue has got to do with clear: both;

I think the images are to tight to the text you could give your images an allround 2px margin or something close to that, it would make the text more easy to read.

You put your entire content in your RSS feed. This will result in less people actually visiting your site and thus, less revenue.

Very professional looking blog. I am looking forward to your landscaping design. I have to redo the front of my new house and am completely lost in what bushes to pick out because of the endless choices.

Only thing I would add, is maybe make the overall text larger. I can imagine your age demographic coming to this site to range all the way up through the older folks, and the smaller text will drive them away.
