Google doesn't usually kick people out if there are just invalid clicks. Generally the invalid clicks need to be traced back to you. One thing Google does is check your IP when you login to visit your stats, and then if you, or someone with the same or similar IP, starts clicking away, Google might investigate further. I suspect that CTR also matters. For instance if your CTR is normally 2% and one day spikes to 50%.

Have you been logging onto Adsense from different computers? Also, how long have you been using Adsense?

Here is my account data, in my opinion, maybe someone else delibrately click my ads. Can anyone tell me how to avoid this?
Thanks.

That looks very suspicious. Can you access your logs and see where that traffic has been coming from?

victornewman

Suppose, I put the Google AdSense in my website, I never do anything in violation of the Google AdSense Terms, if my competitor or someone who want to destroy my web site copy my google adsense code into his personal website or her website, then he or she uses automated clicking programs or any other deceptive software to click the ads

then Google AdSense, will disabled my account , no matter what I explained.

so could anyone tell me what i should do at this situation? how to avoid this trouble?

thanks so much

Google's responsibility isn't to you as much as it is to making sure that their service isn't tainted by false clickthroughs. This is why they disable an account if it has a lot of invalid clicks.

As for getting back in, there's some good information in a Geek/Village thread from a few months ago (namely Larwee's 2nd post):

You didn't answer my question, where did that traffic come from?

victornewman

could you recommend me some software to check my traffic and which IP clicks my ads?

thanks so much

i check my account just in my home, and my website is about three months

Have you been logging onto Adsense from different computers?

Is it not a good idea to do this because I move my computer between my dad's and my mom's which would change the IP address. I also check it at college from time to time.

Doug, I wouldn't let any one at your college know what you are doing and how you make money. I've told people what I've done before, and they suddenly get the idea they'd like to help me out by clicking my ads (as soon as they say that, they don't get told my URLs)

You can only make so much money by clicking your own ads. I've invested a huge amount of time into my sites to build high quality content and generate revenue for myself for years, may be even decades to come. An extra $100, or even $1000 to risk getting banned is an absolute joke.

I'm pretty suspicious, because all of the complaints I've heard about getting booted from Adsense (mostly on Sitepoint) come from people who just happened to find the board. No one has ever heard of them before.

I watch my stats closely. I've even alerted Google on occasion when things look strange, only to recieve a generic message. If I saw the stats that Victor had, from 2,000 pageviews with half a percentage clickthrough rate, to 21,000 with a 28% clickthrough rate, I would keep contacting Google until I was on the phone speaking to someone.

I've heard Google is pretty leniant when it comes to TOS violations. When it comes to click fraud, I've never heard of any one getting their account re-activated.

So, to answer your question Victor, you needed the software a week ago, not tommorow. I suspect that most of those pageviews came from one or two IPs, which would be easily viewable in something like AWstats.

thanks Cutter,

according to you, for me it is so late, even i install the AWstats now, it can't tell me which IPs click my website during that period.

so could you give me some suggestion to make up for my present situation or i have no any choice.

thanks so much

I have actually heard of people getting their accounts reinstated. Unfortunately, I can't remember the specifics, but I think they were a couple of people over on sitepoint. These people may have had a long running clean history with Google AdSense. How long did you have your account for before you got banned?

Not a lot you can do really apart from look into it, then explain what you found to Google, including the measures you've taken to try and prevent it happening again in the future, and beg for them to let you back in.

Failing that - there's always YPN which many people have been doing much better with anyway. ;)

Haha I told the kids in my class a few months ago, and they did the exact same thing. They hear I get money per click, and don't realize that it's not something that Google or the advertisers would really benifit from and is therefore not condoned.

I've heard of one or two people being let into AdSense after they had someone trying to get them booted from the program, once they took care of the problem causers.

In the beginning I was very cautious. Now that my click volume is above 1,000 a day, I'm more comfortable telling people about what I do.

When Strange-Facts was still both mine and my friends, he tried clicking on the ads at school and telling other people to do so until I read the TOS and told him not to. It still didn't register any money though, and its lucky the account didn't get banned. No one has offered to "help" me at college though but usually people don't see me checking the stats anyway, and if they do, they don't really pay any mind to it.

hello cutter,

I had checked my raw log information and didn't find anything suspicious.

You know I found there were some abnormal click in my google adsense account since the 15/November, then I take my google adsense code out of my website, that means there are no any ads click in my google adsense account. Unfortunately, everyday I still found there are about 300 click ads, even the number of impression is zero.
So I think it is my competitor copy my google adsense code to somewhere, not in my server, then he uses some illegal ways to click it. In other word, his aim is to disabled my google adsense account.

I wish someone could tell me what I should do,facing this disgusting situation? Or there is no way to avoid my google adsense disabled.

Finally, I want to know can I hide my google adsense code to prevent someone copy it from my website? Is there someone trying it?

Thanks so much

If you are getting clicks with no page impressions on your server I would contact Google and tell them this. Its ultimately them them that chose what to do, not us.

I found several ip with thousands of hits after furtherly analyzing my access log file, but my friend told me that apache log can only record proxy ip if some use a proxy.

Can you tell me how to record real ip in my access log file?
Thanks.

I believe one of the points of using a proxy is to hide your real IP, so I don't think there is anyway of accessing a real IP from a proxy user - certainly not in your logs, that will just record where the request came from i.e., the proxy.

When you went from

22,454 419 1.9% $1.20 $26.88
43,227 836 1.9% $3.15 $136.31

to

29,594 5,383 18.2% $3.22 $95.39
21,731 6,185 28.5% $3.06 $66.59
43,550 7,688 17.7% $2.00 $86.93

you should of E-mailed Google, instead of leting them contact you!!! You had a atleast a week to let them know!! Then you could of used the E-mail and there reply to throw in there face if they dumped you!!!
