http://www.websitepublisher.net/article/adsense-review/

It can bring in good revenue depending on your site traffic and type of content.

An example can be found at the bottom of this page:

I recieve around 2,000 hits a day is that enough to make a reasonable profit from google adsense?

If by hits you mean page views then you might be able to make a little something to help pay the bills. Give it a try.

It depends on your topic.

A site about debt consolidation that gets 2000 impressions a day can probably bring in $50 a day.

A site about earthworms might bring in 50 cents.

An issue I see is that google doesn't tell what commission it takes. Just about every other ad program does it - there must be some reason why Google chooses not to.

I figured it was because it's different for different ads. And it gives them the opportunity to change it whenever they want... :D

Can you be more specific about why debt consolidation can generate more greater revenue than others ?

Because it's one of the most competitive and high-paying topics.

The advertisers will pay more for the clicks because they will make more out of them, and have competition to beat off to get to the highest points of the scale of ads.
