I haven't been accepted yet either, but if it makes you feel any better I applied about a week ago and haven't heard anything. I also did not get a confirmation email.

alright, cool... i read at sitepoint some people said they were accepted within a day, so i was wondering what was going on. adsense has been awful all month, so i really want to try something different.

Do they ask your daily pageviews and/or uniques?

The application form asks for monthly pageviews: http://publisher.yahoo.com/

So I'm guessing that they are still being kind of picky? Like they don't just accept anybody yet like google does.

Perhaps that is part of the reason they can afford to be as generous to webmasters as they apparently are being in comparison to adsense. Unfortunately for me there are not enough advertisers in my main area using it yet to make the switch.

I'm just guessing maybe they are going through applications by pageviews, so some people may get accepted right away while others have to wait a while.

Don't feel too bad. It's not all that impressive so far.

The targetting is terrible, and you can't view reports on impressions and clicks for the current day. Apparently you have to wait until the day is over to view them.

I'll withold judgement until I can view an entire days earnings and compare it with adsense. If it makes me more than Adsense does then all is forgiven. If it makes less or the same, then it's gone. At least until they iron out some of the kinks.

do they send out rejection letters, or just make you wait forever?

I signed up with Yahoo also about two weeks ago and haven't heard anything either. I think they are alot pickier than Adsense. I was hoping to give them a try but whatever. Adsense is up and down on pay rates but they seem to be up again lately. I would like to give Yahoo a try but whatever. I do not have anywhere near half a million hits. I only get about 500 a month on one site (uniques) and 900 a month on another. Someday half a million would be nice.

I just got an email from Yahoo, got accepted :) but Im not in the US :( Ah well. For those of you still waiting, it took about 2 weeks for them to respond. And I only put 70k page impressions on my application.

I think it may take a while as the program is only in beta. I assume it takes anything between 1 day to 4 weeks to get accepted.

I think YPN account acceptance and approval take 2-3 weeks. :)

IAG (Internet Advertising Group) charges below industry rates for leads in different areas. They take the banners of your choose and place them on their own sites. so if you have a client that needs leads you can charge a few dollars more then IAG charges you and pocket the difference. If anyone needs help in getting started let me know. Just another way to earn some revenue!!!!! :D
