Can you think of any reason why?

I put in my site www.wannabebig.com

Did they not mail you with the reason?

When I got the email saying I had been turned down, they provided a reason in the same email.

Ya, I'd definitely ask why.

I was denied the first time for my site PeaceandHealing.com.
I emailed Google and asked them why, and mentioned how my site met and exceeded their terms & conditions (original content, no other advertising, etc.). I then received an apology letter from a manager who said my site shouldnt had been denied.

Cloughie

no reason. Perhaps I will enquire.

lol I got this from them..

"Hello Daniel,

Thank you for your email.

Our records indicate that your account was previously disabled because
invalid clicks were generated on the ads on your site. Publishers disabled
for invalid click activity are not allowed to participate in Google
AdSense.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,

The Google Team
"

I have never used adsense before though????

This is turning into a comedy of errors.

I guess I would email them back again.

Haha. Weird.

Let us know how they reply.

Just out of interest, if a user of a site running adsense clicks the ads several times, would google consider these invalid clicks and terminate your account?

I would imagine a competitor would see this as a golden opportunity for destruction.

Just wondering how they determine what are invalid clicks.

I've heard that google looks what IP the owner of the site has (via the publisher interface). So if they saw a load from another IP they would probably just deduct the amount from the earnings.

I could be wrong though.

chromate

Yeah, it must be IP based. Probably check to see if the IP is part of the same subnet or something.

I got rejected 3 times, really wierd things too, like "bad link structure", but the 4th time I got in!

You know what, I've really been impressed with Google's customer service. For such a large organisation, they're so damn fast in sorting things out and replying to emails etc. Seriously impressed.

It's nice that you've been accepted at last! I've been using adsense for just over 1 month now and so far it's working great.

Someone even earned me over ? USD for just one click thru.

Adsense does work!!!

I applied just for the heck of it and I was approved in around 12 hours for www.ironmagazine.com

However, I doubt that I will ever use it, I just cannot see placing that big ad on my site and actually making any decent money with it.

It's not that big Prince. In fact, the adsense ads look pretty good.

Prince

I know you can go with the smaller versions, I just cannot see anywhere to fit it on my site.

I would try it out, it worked good for me.

I've been seeing a large increase in earnings the last few days. The program is certainly improving for me.

I use the inline rectangle (300x250) and the leaderboard (728x90).

There was a spell when many were considering changing their adnetwork. Glad things have picked up with it.

I dunno, I think you might be wrong, all I ever hear are good things about the amount of revenue google ads can make for content websites.

I can't run it on wbb because it offers too many competitor adverts to at large nutrition and in my opinion advertises some erm... lets say dodgy products in terms of unproven supplements etc.

I put it up to test and earned myself 30 cents lol

hmmm...interesting.

I will have to think about it in the future, I wish they offered smaller ads, like one block.

They denied me the first time because they thought my site was a casino...

I'm surprised to see how many people get turned down for Adsense. I have been turned down for Tribal Fusion, and a few other networks in the past, but when I applied to the Adsense program, I got accepted straight away within a few days.

According to them I re-applied for adsense with another email address on 25th may 2004 and received following email from them

-----------------------------------------------------
Subject : Welcome to Google AdSense

Congratulations!

Your Google AdSense application has been approved. You can now activate
your account and start delivering AdWords ads on your site in minutes.

STEP 1: Activate your account.
Please visit https://www.google.com/adsense?hl=en_US . Log in to your
account using the email address and password that you submitted with
your application, and agree to the AdSense Terms and Conditions.

STEP 2: Paste the AdSense ad code into your web pages.
Just follow the instructions on the "Ad layout code" page to copy-and-
paste the ad code into your site and begin running AdWords ads.

STEP 3: See the results.
After your ads start running, you can see your earnings at any time by
checking the online reports in your account. Please note that you might
not maximize your earnings from AdSense if you have any of the
following on your website:
* robots.txt
* frames
* forms and dynamic content
* excessive images
* login and password requirements

For more technical guidelines and tips on optimizing your site for this
program, please visit:
https://www.google.com/adsense/faq-tech?hl=en_US

IMPORTANT NOTES:
* If Google has not yet crawled your site, you may not be able to see
relevant ads for a few hours. You may see public service ads (for which
you will not receive any earnings) displayed in the meantime.

* Website publishers, or a third party enlisted by the publisher, may
not, manually or through a robot, generate fraudulent clicks (click
spamming). Clicking on ads on your own site will violate this policy,
so please do not click on the ads for any reason. We monitor all
AdSense activity and disable the account of any publisher violating
this policy. For more information, please review the Google AdSense
Terms and Conditions at:

But when I put their code on my website, ads were not displaying than I emailed that that the ads are not displying on my website and the reply me :-

Hello Naila,

Your Google AdSense account was found to be related to an account
previously disabled for invalid click activity. A publisher who has an
account that has been disabled for invalid clicks is not allowed further
participation in the AdSense program.

As outlined in our program Terms and Conditions, Google reserves the right
to terminate any publisher's participation at any time.

Sincerely,

The Google Team
-----------------------------------------------------

In my reply I told them that I never use adsense on my website before and it was just launched on 9th May 2004, please your records again and the replied:-

Hello Naila,

We have reviewed our records again and reconfirmt that your Google AdSense
account is related to an account
previously disabled for invalid click activity. A publisher who has an
account that has been disabled for invalid clicks is not allowed further
participation in the AdSense program.

Sincerely,

The Google Team
-----------------------------------------------------

Than I asked them that please let me know the email address assosicated with the account you think related to me than they replied :-

Hello,

Because we respect the confidentiality of all publishers, we cannot
disclose any details of our partnerships with other sites.

Sincerely,

The Google Team
