Best place for Adsense on Forum?

I have just redone my entire 4x4 site with VB software up from phpBB. I have not added the adsense to the forum area yet (among other places). So the options are, along the top, below every first post, the bottom of the posts. What do you think might be the best approach?

I think the best would be.

top, bottom, and after first post.

If you only do after first post then you'll be missing out on alot of impressions since you'll have no ads on any of the forum viewing pages etc.

Mmmmm, Good point.

I replaced the Forum desciption box (which I thought was redundant anyway) with the adsense code. This gives me ads at the top of the thread view and the sub forum view. I might add them at the bottom of the main forum view page or even the footer page to cover all pages.
