1. Professional CSS - Cascading Stylesheets for Web Design ISBN: 07654588338

2. Bulletproof Web Design - ISBN: 0321346939

I just looked at them while I was at Barnes and Noble and they looked good. All color pictures and from what I read it looked like they gave a lot of example for real word situations, unlike a lot of other books.

They just came out a couple months ago and there are no reviews yet online at Barnes and Noble...anyone here have them?

There are reviews for both on Amazon -- it looks like they are pretty good. If design was my focus then I'd want a copy of both of them.

Do you consider your focus to be adsense optimizing?

I'll check out Amazon. Thanks. :)

I'm guessing that it is "web publishing" in general.

Well yeah that too. I just knew he offers adsense optimizing. :)

Yes, web publishing and also marketing. I like to build sites, but trying to learn all the hoops about the really technical stuff just takes me too much time.

I know CSS.. but it took me months to really get a good hold on it.

Ohh yes...time! There is not enough time in a day to try and start to learn all the stuff I want to learn.

If I could just read the book and know it, that would be one thing. Its the figuring out why something doesn't work that takes all the time. I tried to learn C++ once many years ago.. didn't get to far :)

I bought designing websites without tables from sitepoint, that book has been gold. That book taught me just about everything I know about css. Definately worth a look if youre after a css book.

Yeah C++ in college didn't work out to well with me either.

Already have the CSS book from sitepoint, although I don't use it much. I've learned by playing around with others' code.
