I don't know if it is against Amazon or other merchants TOS to talk about conversion rates. If not, I would like to know what your average conversion rates are for various product categories such as electronics, furniture, kitchenware, books etc :)

There would be to many factors ...to determine the conversion rates per category such as site design, landing pages, and alot of other various factors. In the amazon control panel they do give u conversion rates on different linking methods i believe...

Are you talking from datafeeds, contextual links or banners?

Yes I am talking about datafeed (or XML) driven sites. My conversion for a kitchen shop (purely Amazon) I started recently is about 6.5% according to Amazon. I just wonder if this is OK and if i should expect more from AWS sites with other products  or if datafeed sites through Linkshare or Shareasale convert better.

Last month mine was over 9% but this month is less then 5% and sales have tanked but traffic is up????

I think much has to do with site design. If the site does not look professional, I would never hit the "buy" button. What I notice is that the Google ads seem to do better as I think most people are just browsing around and see them as a possible lead.

I some AWS sites up and I'm putting together an Overstock site. Have to see how they compare in the long run.
