Prog on eBay BBC2 10pm

UK people, there is a programme on BBC2 at 10pm tonight on eBay and its rise to success - thought it should be interesting for people on here.

Interesting stuff - I liked the bit where he got 'money for old rope' :) (He found some rope on the beach, and sold it on eBay :) ).

Are there many other auction sites out there? How viable would it be to make a free one, build market share, then start charging?

there used to be quite a few of those auction sites. ubid.com sticks out the most to me right now, Amazon used to do auctions too I believe.

I thought it was quite good, although perhaps a little short. I thought the Cherie Blair bit was interesting as well :)
