Is anybody else sick of hearing about blogs. Yeah, I get it. Anybody can publish their crap on-line. Awesome.

But when does a blog stop being a blog and just become a website? All these corporate jerks are starting up blogs, when their "blog" is really just a news page that they can update. What's the difference? And now there are all these get rich by blogging sites starting up. Is anybody else getting a little bit tired of blog-mania? I think the tools are awesome, but I thought it would have blown over by now and we'd be concentrating on making awesome "websites."

This is not meant to provoke serious debate. Just venting.

While I love blogging, I too wish people would stop going on about them. They should be talking about what blogs can DO, rather than what they ARE.

He must get pretty pissed about things. I'm glad I dont get so annoyed about people pronoucing 'char' differently to me :rolleyes:

Yeah, they are the worst. They blog/steal other people's stories/ideas, post most of the article (basically stealing their search engine position), add their little expert opinions and give a link to the original at the bottom. Kinda sad really...

Heh, that's how I started of my two latest blogs :) Basically to have some content there (although I usually link at the top of the article;)). I'm rethinking my strategy at the moment though.
