Google's at it again, more tools, less focus on search results?

Another step in their work to capture your entire desktop :)

Unlike gmail, I signed up for this right away. I just want to test it out and take a look. I definately don't feel comfortable using google desktop search (or whatever its called.)

It is worth mentioning that they did add a tool that displays Adsense stats on your desktop a few days ago..

There was also a Firefox plugin that did this - stopped working when the adsense reports were updated a few weeks ago. The plugin may have been updated as well now, though.

(For those who dont want Google Desktop search thingy)

That's awesome! I've always said that if someone ever develops something that can get stats from all of the major advertising networks, mix them together into comprehensive reports, and display them in near real-time on my desktop or in a screensaver I would be in heaven!

Now I'm one step closer...

So far it seems like it has potential to be a great chat client. Unforunately, there is no block/ignore feature as I could see.

Yes quite basic at the moment (but works) I believe their plan is to offer voip independant of voip app, ie google talk able to communicate with skype, messenger etc which would be a great leap forward in the free voip market.

Shokt, can you not remove someone from your buddy list, which then means they're unable to message you? I'm not sure. Not the same as blocking, but it'd rid you of pests :)
