These jackasses with an IP of 64.142.23.130, from the business http://www.pran-enterprises.com/ must try to harvest email from every new yahoo submission so they can send spam about "now that you're listed in yahoo, pay us blah blah blah"

Met a dude representing Jamster at an affiliate/merchant event I went to last week - kept well away from that stuff! Sponsored by virgin money though - they had a name out of a hat competition, and I won an iPod :) The bar was free too - I could get used to this affiliate stuff :)

Are you not signed up with any networks for any of your sites? Surely you could improve income by tailoring ads? Are there any mail order video rental, or online video store merchants you could sign up with? Surely they would be better than the general ads you have on there?

I thought about going to that. Didn't know you were going. Obviously had a good time then ;) haha. The affiliate program manager for Jamster hangs around on affiliates4u.co.uk as well as just about everyone else in the UK affiliate scene.

Did you make any good contacts? :) I don't feel "worthy" enough to attend these kind of things yet. All my affiliate dealings tend to be US based. Did you go with someone else?

A mate from school works for the guy who organised it (he runs a4uforum.co.uk).

Talked to a few interesting people - the guys from CJ were there, was interesting talking to them. Lots of merchants, and networks just interested in telling you all about themselves though, can get a bit annoying.

Considering I'm just doing this part time earning a few hundred a month, I would definitely say you were 'worthy' :)

I'll definitely be going again when there is one near me. Even if you are mainly in US affiliate programs, its interesting talking to real people and seeing how the industry works. And the CJ guys relevant for you if you use that network with US merchants I would think.
