Which search engine gives you the best traffic? For me Yahoo! gives me the best traffic.

MSN... although Google is improving.

Depends on the site. Sometimes Google, sometimes MSN. Hell, sometimes Ask Jeeves!

Ask.com seems to do well for some sites. I like it a great deal. Never use it though.

Google hands down, then Yahoo, MSN and then small numbers from the others. I'm seeing more and more traffic from Yahoo and MSN.

Are we talking about traffic from relative positions? ie, #1 in msn compared with #1 in Google? Google whips the competition in this respect.

no we are just talking how much total traffic you receive from a SE.

Google then, easily. But then I have good rankings for the most part, so it's to be expected.

Google, Yahoo, and MSN each get top for my websites. One does best on Google, another with Yahoo, and another with MSN. I generally use the same SEO techniques across all my websites so I haven't quite figured this one out yet.

It's probably that the other sites in your niche are using different SEO techniques.

Depends on site too, but Google closely followed by Yahoo for me. MSN is probably 1/3 to a half of Yahoo & Google.

What little traffic I do get I would say Google followed by Yahoo then MSN. Although I can count the referals on one hand.

Dont worry newsniche, we were all there once. I fondly remember the day - right about 1yr ago it was - that I got my very first referals from Google, it was so exciting, just 1 in a whole day :)

'Success' just takes a while, and you will get there if you stick at it.

I've been at it 9 years; where's my success?

[edit]
I'm sure you'll do better newsniche, you've got nice sites.

What is your definition of 'success'?

I'm sure some people would say you are successful.

The only check I got in that entire period is for 19 dollars.

My definition is being, I suppose:
- either very good at programming or design
- being able to 'practice what I preach'
- knowing a helluva lot more than I do right now
- getting checks regularily for decent amounts of money

Best traffic? As in best converting traffic? Based off of my stats, AOL traffic clicks on Adsense and signs up for my newsletters at a higher percentage than any other engine. Best as in volume, definately google.

If you get a site listed well in Google it'll win hands down. MSN always kicks off new sites, and yahoo doesn't like any of my sites so it doesn't get a look in
