I am getting a lot of traffic from the Google and Yahoo image search engines. I am just curious if there is a good way to make money off of some of this traffic. It seems like my ad revenue (Adsense, fastclick, casale) isn't going up proportionately with my traffic.

Anybody else run into this issue?

One thing that a image search does is open your page in Yahoo's or Google's frames, so most of the time your AdSense ad will not show. You can change you AdSense code to frames then AdSense will read the frame your ad is in so it loads and then you can get some clicks from your image page views :). I don't know what to tell you about the FastClick and Casale ads, just that people looking for images don't seem to click on ads as much as regular search traffic :(

True; maybe you should start implimenting CPM ads on pages that get most of the visits from image searches.

OK, I didn't know you could put adsense in frames, thanks for clarifying that.

yea, there is a setting for putting it in an iframe.

I thought that Adsense's frame thing was just so it'd crawl all pages included in the frames, rather than making it show in the first place--am I wrong?

I think you are, the ads would be displayed in frames as well.

Yeah, but I have the ads in the same frame as the content.
I don't think that should effect the ads at all--and I very much doubt that it could.

Hi James, go to a site that shows other sites in frames "Yahoo Image Search"
load your page and see a blank space where your AdSense ad is located. Sad but true most of the time. AdSense reads Yahoo's frame and your AdSense code is not in that frame so AdSense does not show.

I see the ads here. Now I've changed the code to say I have frames; however, it also showed up before.
