Just wondering since an AWS is site just an affiliate engine, how you deal with queries and complaints, on the site and when/if you are contacted.
Are you open about the affiliate nature? Whats your line?

I'm open about being an affiliate. I just tell them to contact amazon. Hardly ever get contacted though.
Just be completely open with them. No need to do anything else.
I had a dude contacting me wanting to sell his cookery stuff on my site! Unfortunately had to say I'm not quite in the position to do that yet...
Also just had a manufacturer of a product on my AWS site email to say that their product is available and can I change their product listing to reflect that... Should get back to them really.

I just tell them I'm advertising the products, not actually selling them.
I've also had manufacturers contact me like R2D2.

The only contact I've had is also authors/manufacturers wanting me to sell their product or update their picture/data. How funny.

I had a guy continually emailing me asking me to remove a review that appeared on one of my sites. I explained that it was up to Amazon, as I just used their feed. Amazon removed the review from their system, but NOT from AWS it seems. Even Amazon emailed me asking me to remove it, and I could only explain that I didn't have it cached, s it was their problem! The chap hasn't contacted me in a few months, so I guess they fixed it :)
Leading on from Marks post, does anyone only show reviews if they are say 3/5 or better? I.e. Not display the low score ones?

Are there any really bad ones?
There must be a niche for a "These are cr*p but try this instead", sites! People also would probably be more vocal about products that they really really hated.
Are know there are complains sites out there, but I have never seen an outrageous review on Amazon

There are lots of low reviews for mosquito trap reviews. That's why I didn't bother to make an AWS site out of it.

yea, thats because no mosquito traps that work! I hate those pests, though they really don't exist where I live now.
I have never been contacted about an aws, but now If I am, I will know what to say. Its interesting in that its a common occurence.

I Just tell them the I just promote the products from/for Amazon.
I do point them out to the help/support section of the Amazon website since
that's the least I can do (imho).
Sometimes it's annoying like when they ask for specific product manuals and
there's nothing to be found  ah well ...

Only thing I've got is some one asking me to take a review off. It wasn't on Amazon!!

Well, how is the review on your site then?

I get emails daily from my sites. I get the most from my electronics because creative labs uses http://us.creative.com where mine is http://www.uscreative.com
I get a lot of traffic from the incorrect type in. I get emails from people asking about products, but mostly I get complaints from people about creative labs. I have a stationary email where I just click the reply button with the stationary and send a stock email that lets them know people confuse our site and the url to creative labs site.
I received an email from PBS this weekend wanting to exchange TV advertising for donations to an upcoming telethon.
If questioned about inventory, I always state that our fulfillment is handled by amazon.

Ah, overlooked that post.
I received an email from PBS this weekend wanting to exchange TV advertising for donations to an upcoming telethon.
The question, though, is whether they emailed you on purpose, or were trying to get us.creative.com

I don't know if it's a question or not, but, I have three sites and it was not uscreative the email came from. It was my power tools site.
