Well, you didnt get in first time, why should it be different this time? More likely to not get in as they will know you applied 2 months ago.

You cant really get banned though, just wont get accepted. Which site was it?

It could be your site just hasn't been looked at yet. Depending on the category, it could be waiting there for years (I just recently took over a category there, and there were sites in the queue from 2003).

Yeah, two months might be too short to wait. I've been waiting well over a year for one of my sites.

Don't take it personal!!! '### new' there is the number of sites waiting to be reviewed! Some categories have more sites waiting to be reviewed than are currently listed!!! Odds are many of them have been siting there for years!!! I just about lost it when I got access to that category and saw that!!! I looked at a few listings, deleted some dead submited sites, and then left!!!

It can take anywhere from six months to two years to get listed in DMOZ, depending upon which catagory you submitted to and whether or not there is an editor assigned to the category.

My main Web site took a little over a year before it showed up in DMOZ. Sign up at the http://www.resource-zone.com forum and post a question about it. Be sure to provide the domain name and the category you submitted it to. The editors there are very responsive and usually post info in a few days. Usually, the response is that it is waiting in queue.

Dmoz is so very broken. I find it to be a miserable failure of a project that suffers from its own BS. It was a fantastic idea but its collapsing under its own dead weight.

i forsee DMOZ becoming much less valued as a link source in the not-so-distant future.

If you can get into DMOZ it's great for your site, but it really needs to have more editors, and they don't seem to be doing much about getting more...

Dmoz has some great editors, but also some overly-fanatical control monkeys...
