interior lights on sail panel

Hi All Im trying to put the sail panels back on a 67 newport custom, the interior lights mount to the sail panels, well they are supposed to.
Im having trouble trying to get the light assembly together none of the hole match on the sail panel. There are 3 pieces to the light , you have the bulb retainer, then the lense ( round) then the chrome ring. These are supposed to mount to the sail panel. Sorry i dont have pics. I know i am missing something but not sure what!
If anyone can help i would appreciate it.

It would be much easier if you had some pictures. I didn't quite understand the situation. I know a lot of people have trouble installing indoor lights. And in fact, I understand you perfectly. I also had great difficulties when my order came from Amazon with car lighting (https://www.amazon.com/car-lights-car-led-lights/dp/B09L86JRRM), and it was time to install. It's a pretty complicated process. I would not have managed without the help of specialists. So if you want to have a good and qualitative result, it would be better to turn to specialists from the start.
