Why would these ads do any better than Adsense ads?

Thanks for the link, it will be interesting to see how this will (if it will) evolve.

If there will be a Yahoo adcircuit(Google's adsense),
will there be a Yahoo adtrack (Google's adwords).

Yes, competition is good. Overture sometimes has higher bids too.

Yasense? :)

I'm glad they're doing it... with Adsense sometimes slumping for some people, it will be good to have someone else to go to.

Or if they're really unpredictable, they could name it Yahoo! Publisher Network...

Great news. Certainly can't be a bad thing! It would be nice to have a realistic alternative to AdSense as a backup. The competition's gotta be good for publisher rates too.

I'm glad to see Yahoo/Overture going after the small publisher market. I thought Kandoole was going to be a big player, maybe next year. AdSense is a great program but to have choices is a good thing.

I agree that competition is good. I hope that Yahoo's entry forces Google to raise their payout rate. We can all agree that would be a good thing. That said, isn't it reasonable to believe that with more outlets for their contextual ads, advertisers will end up paying lower rates? If that happens, the net effect on publisher revenue is uncertain. Am I missing something?

I hope it doesn't take as long to approve as an Overture ad.
