It is time. First it was Yoda, then Gollum, but its been a few years with Gollum now and I wanted something new.

A cookie to the person to correctly identify what it is.

It's a footprint on the moon. Awaiting my cookie! I found the entire picture: http://spacegrant.nmsu.edu/lunarlegacies/images/footprint.jpg

Interesting, any particular reason that you chose this?

I know! I know! ..... Mitochondria (http://cellbio.utmb.edu/cellbio/mitoch1.htm)!

I'll miss the Golem avatar. I've seen it so much now that I really associate it with Chris.

yea, me too. I thought for a while that that was chris. I think the new avatar is a footprint on the moon but that is probably too obvious.

It is the moon footprint and I chose it because it is symbolic representation of achievement in general. It is a simple single image that symbolizes one of mankind's greatest accomplishments. It is both basic (a footprint) and amazing (on the moon).

It makes you wonder where you'll leave your footprints at.

Wow, and all I thought was that it was some guy's shoe hitting the ground. But I guess that I'm not quite as poetically talented as you, Chris.

I prefer the old one, as someone else said I kinda associated it with you.

Then again I guess we'll all get used to it. How long did you keep it?

Well The Two Towers came out in 2002, and its around that time (Dec 2002) when I started using it.

I do agree that the last one seemed a bit better. This seems kinda..to imperialistic and harsh business-like for some reason. I suck at explaining what I mean.

yea, the other one did seem more friendly even though it was an angry gollum.

That's the wording I was hunting for.
I also liked the coloring.

I quite like it. It has a more mature look to it and if you don't lose site of what it actually is, it's quite fascinating. It's not your ordinary footprint. :)

It's only an avatar anyway!? :) Just a bit of fun.

And I still can’t choose avatar :( As it’s not just any picture.
