After some advice here folks. I need to shift my Fiesta from my parents place over to my mother-in-laws where it hs a dryish garage and allmy tools awaiting it ;D

It's currently SORNed, no tax, no MOT no nothing. I've had a look at transport costs and the cheapest I've been offered so far is £40. Now to me that seems a little excessive just to move a car a mile up the road, especially since there's only one single turn in the whole route :o Seriously, it would take 10 minutes, that works out at about £240 per hour. Geeez!

Legally I don't think I'd get away with towing it would I?
What other options do I have or is anyone on here local to me with a car trailer or truck laying around?
I have tea and biscuits in ;D

Please note: All advice (even the honest but disheartening kind) glady recieved.

In such a situation, the best idea is to call a company that will help you. I believe it is possible to find a cheaper company, but I think that services matter more. I also had such a situation where my car had to be transported from one point to another. I don't remember how much I paid, and I remember that I was satisfied. Because everything was urgent, I turned to the first company that was recommended to me. I was fortunate to find a good and safe company. Guardian Auto Transport (https://guardianautotransport.com/) helped me very quickly to transport my car. You can call them and ask for more details. If I had a trailer, I would help you, and I'd like to sit down for a cup of tea, lol.
