I see it spelled both ways, so which do you use?

Knowing this will (hopefully) help me figure out which of the two is more prevelant, and therefore should be more targetted with my keywords.

Thanks.

ecommerce, unless its at the beginning of a sentence, then its Ecommerce.

Frankly speaking I just never think how I spell it and if I use capital letters :D I guess in most cases I spell it as "ecommerce"

I think of it like webmaster. Webmaster, only really needs capitalization at the start of a sentence.

E-Commerce unless i'm talking in one of those instant messenging programs where I don't use the capitalisation or the dash.

I've done a bit more research

Most of the online dictionaries actually show it as e-commerce (Compact Oxford English Dictionary, Encarta World English Dictionary, Cambridge International Dictionary of English, The American Heritage Dictionary, Dictionary.com, Wikipedia, Columbia Encyclopedia, Encyclopedia.com, etc.) So that is probably the correct way to spell it.

What really matters, however, is how the average person spells it. That's what will get the search traffic.

So far, it looks like we have split results. No clear cut winner. :(

I always see it written as eCommerce.

Its probably similar to email, which like ecommerce, started out as electronic mail then e-mail now simply email. Some people write it as Email or eMail but I suspect most write it simply as email and I guess the same now applies to ecommerce.

I definitely don't think capitalisation is right as it doesn't fit in to any sort of english grammar rules. I personally think it's ecommerce.

ecommerce is how I write it myself.
