I'm currently writing up/designing a small niche content site. At first, due to the limited inital content, I was going to just have it as one page. But I've not thought about any SEO impacts of it. Is it better to have one webpage which is effectively 3 pages of normal A4 content or is it better to split it as much as possible? I could split the content up to a few pages as there is a tips section and Q&As.

More pages gives more oportunities to focus on different keywords

Also you can link internally with keyword rich anchortext

in this case, I think the best SEO option is to have a 2 page site. Home page and a second page. All important keywords on home page. Linking structure: home links to page 2 and page 2 links back to home. All incoming links to home page.

I also like the idea of a 2 page site. Once readers have seen both, be sure to have an exit path - whether it be clicking an ad or continuing to a different site of yours.

I've gone for a four page site, with all linking to each other. I'm not expecting much traffic but am interested to see how and when google indexes me, as usually there is a search engine bot around at one of my sites.

guz843 posted his comment purely to get more links to his website. Which is considered spam.

The content of his comment explained that he was doing exactly that. Hence thepoorman's comment spam telling us its spam.

Made me laugh.
