According to this article, MSN search has been testing their beta search engine by occasionally routing regular searches to the beta. They now plan to begin "turning up the dial" by sending more and more users to the beta engine.

I had been wondering how one of my sites got 1100 extra visitors from "beta.search.msn.com" on December 31st. (That's around 1080 more than it usually gets from MSN.) Now I guess I know what happened. This is exciting news for those of us who rank well in the MSN beta! :D

Phasing it in huh? Maybe not such a bad idea. Work out the kinks then when you know it actually works well, "officially" launch it. That's so unlike Microsoft.

well thats good they finally have it being implemented. I have noticed that it has been a little more accurate lately (the beta that is)

I hope the permanent bot that resides on one of my sites does me well :) It's almost as if I have my own personal MSN bot! Oddly enough, Tehoma/Jeeves has been on my site for over 24 hours now. I've never seen them crawl so deep and for so long.

The beta engine is giving us some very good results. We are at the top for several very highly searched/lots of results keywords -- some which we didn't even optimize for! We'll see how long that lasts.

Same here. I just checked again, it's been about a month since I last checked. Two of my main consulting sites are number one for my primary keywords. One is number three in google, but the other...I've had trouble for over a year trying to get it up in google. It's probably 40-50 there, but number one in beta.msn.

Number one for one of my aws stores for keywords too. If only people will start using MSN!

My sites have been getting a lot more traffic from MSN, still love Google but other sources of traffic are always a good thing.

i went and was looking at msn with westech earlier today and my search term that I want I am #3 out of 100million websites. So lets just say that I am mucho pleased.

I am also #1 for my second term. I dont want to say what words, but westech can vouch for the fact i was all smiles.

Are any of you who are ranking highly on msn beta seeing traffic from it yet? It's started pouring in for me over the last few days.

Same for me, Westech. I haven't kept track, but it's very noticeable and some good positions.

well wes my rankings as you know are insane, but i dont watch my numbers enough to tell if it is a big difference. Google is still 90%. I would love to see msn take 50% considering my serps, but i doubt it.. lol

One of my sites seems to have gone up 200-300 uniques in the last couple of months. Don't know if it's anything to do with the MSN search. I know it's top for the term anyway...

I have. Nearly all of my vbulletin sites got a boost in visitors from MSN.

Really nice :)

I've been getting a dramatic increase in hits from MSN. For pretty popular keywords too. I like.

nice to hear Xtrem. I cant wait to see msn start sending me a bunch more traffic. Right now it has a long way to go to catch up with google.

MSN has doubled the amount of traffic it sends to me but it is still only 2% of my traffic.
