I'm starting to see a sharp upturn in Amazon.com orders, must be Christmas time :). How is everybodys Christmas shaping up? It's still early but so far so good for my sites with Amazon ads.

I'll tell you after I'm done shipping the 50 or so orders that need to go out today ;)

Wow glad to see you guys are doing well (Though with Chris, it's predictable ;)) :D

I currently am in need of some traffic to my solitary AWS site, Buy Video Games (http://buy-video-games.net). But I'm sure if I just post enough with it in my signature at a few gaming forums which I'll start frequenting again, I should be able to turn up a few orders. And if I make enough money for a domain name, I may start up another AWS site, or two, or three, or a beastly large amount like you have, Chris.

you can definitely tell its christmas. My conversion rate was reading 1025% for a few days as people popped in to buy 10 or 20 things through one click through.

Wow. From what you can tell, is it looking better than last year? Sounds like it's gonna be amazing.

I don't know. Last year I did 120k in sales in december. Right now I'm looking to hit more like $90k in sales. But I don't think it has peaked quite yet, so you never know.

it nets millions.....

Chris

I'm not sure what the net is exactly, but its probably around 25%

I had a pretty good day today, 7.3k in sales. So I might beat last year after all.

My current goal is to get up to the next tier before the boxing day sales slow things down and I go back down to regular sales with amazon.

chris, how much you get out of 120K in sales? from amazon?

I'm pretty sure if earlier on in the year if you had have spent your time developing other content sites rather than AWS you would have made more, and so would I for that matter. AWS may have made me some money but content sites have made me far more. I'm going to continue to do affiliate shopping sites, but on a system like Chris has developed where he can make a new site in about fifteen minutes.

Thats my sword site I was talking about.

Affiliate sites.... there was one month where I had over 1 million in sales (last September, back to school). I haven't been back to that level since though.

Does the sword site take a lot of your time? 7K in sales sounds like some serious shipping work...

Chris

This time of year it does. With my wife helping ship it goes a little faster but still, We must have been shipping for 4 hours yesterday, probably sent out 80 boxes.

7.3k in sales for swords is one big lot of sales.

November was the biggest month I've ever had since starting as a commercial webmaster in 1999.

Sold over $100,000 in Zappos merchandise alone.

I'm continuing to try developing content cross AWS sites. Not paying off yet, but they are increasing.
Created www.roleplayinggamer.com yesterday, but it took me longer than 15 minutes! More like 5 hours all up.

RolePlayingGamer looks real nice.

World of Warcraft is awesome, I've been playing it quite a bit lately... :)

good to hear things are coming along paul. I am still focusing on my main site and trying to get my 2nd one wrapped up. :)

Thanks Emancipator, I'm keen to see your new site btw :)

Yes I've been playing FAR too much world of warcraft! The game is super addictive and great fun - cruising around a virtual world with buddies.

My amazon sales are pitiful compared to most around here - I am yet to crack the $100 mark for this quarter. However I am sure I have used decent SEO and am seeing a steady increase in traffic :) I might create 15 AWS sites in total and then move on to other types of sites. Hopefully those 15 will be sustaining themselves in 3 months and profitable in 6.

NINTENDO - I hope your server is ok, a few of your sites are gone?

Ah yes, I remember Chris (I believe it was Chris, anyways) talking about carrying all of the swords up the stairs--lots of fun.

I've gotten 13 cents after a few years. Of course I hardly use Amazon, and I should have launched my site earlier, but whatever.

Due to about three weeks of hacking (http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?t=214833), I did a server restore.

Well being an amazon consumer, I had to wait like 2 extra
weeks to get something shipped to me since it was nearing
Christmas time. :(

It depends on what you buy. If it has overnight or two day shipping, use it! I ordered two items Wednesday night. They shipped yesterday (Thursday), and I got the overnight item today (Friday), and the two day item should show up Monday.
