I've never used yahoo, but I like godaddy and have never had a problem with them.

I use NameCheap.com & DomainSite.com. Have used GoDaddy before and they are OK. Never used Yahoo, though...

I like GoDaddy. They're nice; however, when I was registering they had a weird thing that it wasn't acknowledging my Postal Code because I had a dash in it, which is usually how I write it.

Oh, I'm Canadian, btw. XXX-XXX = our postal codes.

Is it possibgle to change your domain from yahoo to godaddy later on?

Yes, you can transfer it. It's cheaper than just buying a domain through GoDaddy because you get a year added on with the transfer, and the transfer costs less.

I used GoDaddy and RegisterFly. Some people don't trust GoDaddy. They have had domains screwed up by GoDaddy after getting spamming complaints.

I like RegisterFly but their interface is a pain.

I don't recommend registering with the same company that hosts your sites. It makes it a lot easier to move the host when someone else controls what DNS the domain points to.

As always, I recommend namecheap.com. outstanding interface, outstanding price, outstanding service. Never had any problems with them at all. They're also offering free whois guards when you reg a new name.

Jesus christ do I know what you mean...
My last host was a pain in the freaking ***. They billed me for a domain name which I had transferred from them after telling them several times that I was going to transfer it.
