It may be a bit early but goals can never be set to early nor to high :)

My goals for '05
-Release my major sites (about 10)
-become incorporated
-relase my minor sites (about 20)
-make 3k a month at least near the end of the year
-set myself up for future gains

1. End up with over 100 live domains. I'm at about 80 right now. Most new ones will be affiliate sites. Promoting leads, Reseller Rights products, and maybe a few content sites.
2. Master PPC. Newsflash: AdWords is a BIG pain when it comes to geting clicks, FindWhat is much easior to get clicks, at a much lower price.
3. Make more money than this year (About $35,000.)

I'd like to be earning at least $1,000 a month, but I need to be more productive to do that :) I plan on networking my niche sites, though, so that should help somewhat (or at least that's the plan).

My MAIN objective, though, is to write my community guidebook which will be available in print and e-book form. So we'll see if I manage it ;)

just let me know.. Horror Seasons has picked up a distributor and is playing in a whack of film festivals thanks to our free promotion. If I can do the same for you, then I am happy to :) Sorry to get our thread off topic.

1. Improve my php / mysql skills.
1. Create 5 big sites and 10 smaller content only ones, (since sept I've only done 2 small ones).
1. Get my own internet connection. (presently, I only have a work pc that wont let me upload).
1. Organise my time better to allow more space for writing.

All listed as no.1. as should have already done em this year really....

I'm aiming for $2500 / month. yeah right :D ....worth a go though.

Better to aim high and fail, than to aim for nothing and succeed ;)

So, how do you guys earn enough profit to justify the prices I'm seeing in these goals?

moonshield
12-07-2004, 02:58 PM
maybe by having sites that people actually use? Thats a goal of mine, actually to create a useful site.

Well in the last few weeks I've seemed to do more coding for other people than ever, so next year I will try to use the money I'm earning now to pump back into my sites.

Last year I was just churning out sites to make money, not bothering about users. This year I'm thinking differently. I'm aiming to make my sites the best site in that category. Sure, I probably won't do it for some sites as they are in a competitive market, but I will increase my traffic as each site will have more features etc and will be more than say a normal AWS or Wikipedia site.

In the last month or so I've bought four sites (well, three if you exclude a domain). These, combined with my current sites, could easily make me $200 a day if I work hard, very hard. I've regretted 2004 sooo much. I've wasted it. There's just been too many days where I can't be bothered, and now I've realised after talking to other people that you have to get your skates on in this business, as soon there aren't going to be as many opportunities. Until I’m making a couple of hundred a day I won’t be happy.

Ditto to Mike.

Mike is good at coding if anyone wants a reliable coder (and trust me, RELIABLE coders are few and far between, most work for a day then a month later complete your script...)

No - only ones who you pay crap money to do ;)

:D
