The GMP Instant Associate Store application provides Amazon.com Associates with an easy method of including and integrating Amazon.com products in their own Web sites. The GMP Instant Associates Store is built from the ground up utilizing vb.net and leveraging asp.net 1.1. GMP Services Instant Associate Store takes full advantage of the latest offering from Amazon Web Services (www.amazon.com/webservices (http://www.amazon.com/webservices)), E-commerce Service 4.0 (ECS 4).

The GMP Instant Associate Store is easy to set up, use and maintain.

Features

• Very easy setup and maintenance (3 step process to install)

• Built-in URL re-writer to change database query URL's into static URL's (gives the appearance that the entire site is all static pages - this helps with search engine inclusion and indexing)

• Product category pages have product image, title and brief description

• Product detail also includes the product details such as type, manufacturer and other detailed information.

• Product Titles auto inserted into page titles (top of web browser - meta title)

• Add your own meta tag title, description and keywords via the admin area

• Drill down navigation (category and sub category - multi-level)

• Image caching - can be turned on or off (if on it serves the Amazon.com product images from your own site rather than from Amazon.com.

• Add your own featured products to the main page or categories of your choice, simply browse through your store, click on the product and then just click the "make this item a featured product" and it is instantly added to the featured products for the store’s home page. You can also choose the order in which featured items are displayed.
• Ability to make a sub category a product line (adds it to the top and left navigation) from within the store application.

• Remote search capability.

• Remote shopping cart with reporting (see what was added to the cart by each user).

• Ability to "hide" products with no price (or $0.00) and products that aren't available for ordering at Amazon.com. This feature can be turned on or off

• Ability to show only Amazon.com prices, all merchants prices or only featured merchants prices

• Ability to turn on or off categories of your choosing and edit the display category name

• Browser based (built-in) HTML / Rich Text editor for Header and footer.

• Automatic product teaser generator, our application (when released) will include an automatic teaser generator that will add more content to each products details to help enhance search engine placement, the teaser generator is a standalone application that can be run from the server or your own local desktop.

.net has lots of power, but since so many here are cramming out canned aws sites i think php is a better solution then .net
