Personally, the best advertising month ever. I attribute the increase to additional ads though (I added a box ad to my literature site).

October was the best advertising and affiliate month I've ever had. What's interesting about the affiliate revenue is that the new shopping section which generated these sales was only up the last 2 weeks of October. November should be insane.

October was my best month ever also. Revenue on two of my bread-n-butter sites is down compared to last year, but I was able to more than make up the difference with a site that I recently began to monetize.

I had a good month in october even though i didnt ...make any changes in my websites...

Sept. was very slow but Oct. doubled Sept. In my case I think the Florida hurricanes were responsible. In Sept. millions were without power and couldn't got online. In Oct. those same people are looking for advice on how to repair their mobile homes.

2nd-best month so far overall, best month so far for advertising revenue.

My best month, so far. Finally, broke through the 1k monthly barrier. Next point is to make 2k a month.

Best month for me for click through ads, haven't broken $1K yet though. Lost some business in sep. because of hurricanes I suppose.

Not bad, but not as good as other months. AWS didn't do as well as usual :(

Not the best month ever in terms of revenue, but in terms of getting large sites developed, it was one of the best, if not the best.

Best month ever for advertising and affiliate schemes. Still a while to go before $1k though :)

Seems quite good so far, quite a few people with 'best month ever'..

Looking to crack $20 a month in revenue next month ;)

If we are all going up or staying quite level there either has to be a) far more internet users (which I doubt), b) other people earning less.

r2d2
11-02-2004, 01:35 AM
or earning more per user.

MarkB

As broadband use increases, more people are able to stay online longer, and therefore can do more shopping online, or general browsing of content sites.

Smashed all previous months in terms of revenue, users and page impressions.

Effective monthly earnings of $300 from a single 468x60 placement, 100,000 page impressions and 20,000 uniques.

Many people hitting the $3K+ mark?

Seems like you are all improving month after month which is great. :)

Almost as good as Sept. Adsense was really bad the first half of Oct and then it shot through the roof in the last week. Seems to be bad again now, but I find it's always choppy moving from one month to the next as people adjust their campaigns.

Affiliate revenue was good, though AWS was slightly down. I even got a $100 bonus for taking 3rd place for the most conversions with one affiliate. :)

I've been making around $5.5k profit the past few months now.

This month was a good month. My traffic doubled. Doing about 3.4million hits a month now and 250,000-500,000 uniques.

Probably my best month so far in terms of USD revenue, but with the Canadian dollar sitting so high, the outcome is probably on par with some previous months.

Azoogle CPA ads. I'm a believer. If you have a site with a topic that is targeted torwards one of their offers you can make some good money. It's not making me rich by any means, but it's a good chunk of change for the amount of traffic I receive. I started running them in mid October, gradually made more as I fine tuned the offers I ran, placement, etc, and made a little over $800 for the month. If I can keep up the daily average I'm pulling now, they should bring in over $1500 for November.

Sorry INCKA didnt see your post. My big thing is content and lots of it, but networking. I spend alot of my time every day building content, making contacts, and getting contests running.

You'll never guess what?! :D....

first month for about, hmm, 6 months, that hasn't broken previous records. vistor count down and adsense cpm extremely low. however azoogle ad's outperformed last month,
thats great considering the downturn in visitors i had. sounds like a great month for everyone though in one way or another. Well done all! :)

azoogleads only are on a fraction of my site, but so far this month(november) they outperformed all of august.

About $2,000. An average month for me. November and December are always my best months, thanks to Amazon.

r2d2
11-07-2004, 07:02 AM
To be honest Nintendo, I think you could be making a lot more than that. If you just worked on the design of your sites a bit. Hows the AWS 4 site coming along?

incka
11-07-2004, 08:23 AM
Nintendo earned tens of thousands in months gone by, he just sticks at it and occasionally gets some great results, good for him!

Emancipator
11-07-2004, 09:02 AM
I could never make 10's of thousands off amazon. Even with my 24% conversion rate I could never make $10,000 in PROFIT. Sales yes, profits no. I have sold just under $4,000 worth of dvds, and am climbing the tears, but it will be a cold day in hell before I make 10k off Amazon. I am putting my eggs in many baskets and not counting on amazon to be the be all, end all.

Just my 2 cents.

Nintendo

:::Nintendo earned tens of thousands in months gone by

That was back in 2000 before NASDAC made the Internet Gold Rush die, and January of this year when I got the $7,500 check from Amazon's Q4/03 earnings. :D:D Total income for the year looks to be about $35,000.

:::Hows the AWS 4 site coming along?

The new sites are making about $40.00 CPM! For example, the first 2,630 pageviews made $96.38. #15 in sig is one example. Jewelry= higher priced products!

:::I am putting my eggs in many baskets

Yep, Amazon's not all I do. I promote overstock.com, Buy.com, bettymills.com, Art.com, AllPosters.com (conversion rate stinks), got some content sites, promote lead programs, AdSense, and I got two sites where I sell my own services, which except during the holiday season make more than Amazon makes me.

Emancipator
11-08-2004, 06:12 AM
Amazon is a very small fraction of what I do, but my site isnt an aws site. I do find it sells alot, just the profit margin is so low its not worth putting GOBS of work into it.

I make more off fastclick in a day now then I do off amazon. Which is a nice thing to be able to say, since fastclick requires no work.

paulfitz
11-08-2004, 03:41 PM
I'm still trying to build traffic, but fastclick will be one of the ones I definitely apply for - sounds all good :)

Mike
11-09-2004, 01:13 AM
Nintendo, how do you seem to get a lot of sales to new AWS sites? Your sites just seem to be AWS, no other content, so I don't see how you get the traffic.

Emancipator
11-09-2004, 07:48 AM
Mike I also dont understand why people visit AWS sites. I think a content site that uses AWS can work well, but a straight up aws site boggles me on how it can do thousands of dollars in sales monthly.

Westech
11-09-2004, 08:17 AM
I think the way most of them do it is just by search engine traffic. Someone searches for "buy widget," randomly clicks on an AWS site in the search results, and buys their widget.

Nintendo
11-09-2004, 08:38 AM
I got 451,000 AWS URLs indexed in Google. When you got numbers like that, you have no trouble geting visitors. To get new sites indexed, I just link to them on older sites and signitures. That almost always keeps them out of the sandbox when it comes to indexing. It only took about a month to get my newest sites indexed. Out of over 80 domains, I've only seen one domain not get indexed, as if it had been banned before I registered it.

Emancipator
11-09-2004, 09:34 AM
how much traffic do you get monthly nintendo? 451,000 pages is no shabby number. My 3 month old site as of today is 109,000 pages.

i can see how multiple sites could have 400,000 pages in google i guess is my point :P My objective isnt to get a whack of spam into google, just to get all my content in, which of course brings in the search engine traffic. I see 90% of AWS sites as nothing but spam.

r2d2
11-09-2004, 12:24 PM
Mike I also dont understand why people visit AWS sites.

99% of internet users wont know what AWS is, they'll just click a link they like the look of, and maybe order via the site because its 'teamed up' with Amazon. Thats my thinking any way.

Very impressive stats though Emancipator :)

yeah i can see how that logic works. I just hate those spammy aws sites and ignore em. I figure everyone thinks like me :P

I'm wondering what site you are running, because I didn't see any ads on your site from your signature, crazymonkeygames... and I don't think that free online games like that can have targeted ads... would you please pm me you site url, if it's not allowed to be posted here?

thanks :)

Actually, I'm keeping some of my sites under wraps for now. I don't want see 50 competing sites pop up the day after I post them here. I'll probably get cocky and post them someday after they're better established. ;)

As for CrazyMonkeyGames, I plan on putting ads on it at some point. Right now I'm just trying to build up the traffic.
