eferral traffic is Google's method of reporting visits that came to your site from sources outside of its search engine. When someone clicks on a hyperlink to go to a new page on a different website, Analytics tracks the click as a referral visit to the second site.

When the user comes to your website from another source of the website instead of search engine or outside from the search engine, google consider this traffic as referral traffic

Referral traffic is the visitors who reach your website without going through a search engine (or typing in your URL directly). They came from a link somewhere else, which could be another website, social media, email, etc.
