I'm enjoying it! Just think back to how much fun Halloween was when you were a kid. Buy some candy, check out all the costumes, and enjoy yourself.

I'm still a kid, and don't really care about other kids.

Yeah, it annoys me too, why can't they just go to the houses of people they know?

We bought two huge bags of candy --- the only kid we got was our neice. She got one bag to herself.

And your snake ate the other bag?

The idea of children wandering the streets at night and knocking on strangers doors gives me the chills in this day and age. Sad but true.

PS - On a lighter note, Chris I'll give you $5 for the other bag!

Most of the kids we got were younger and had their parents with them. The only "kids" that came to our door without parents were a group of teenagers smoking cigarettes, half of whom weren't wearing costumes, and a solitary 40-something year old man with a devil mask and a pillowcase.

Shipping will be about $50 on that though...

really? Over 100 little 5th grade-age kids came to my door... do you all live in the suburbs? That where all the kids are.

I live in the outskirts (British for suburbs) of a small city, but I did not get many...

I'm so glad that Australians don't celebrate this event :)

We got about one group of about 4 kids every minute or so. I didn't mind it cause I was just cleaning and restringing my guitar anyways and wasn't doing something like working on my websites.

Oh, and an easy way to get them to stop: get a box, put enough tape on the bottom of a bottle so that it'll stick on it but still be pretty shaky, and above a sewer grate, drop it and then use the tape to pick up the little mini shards. Take this piece of tape and put it on the doorbell. Oh, or you could block the door with a giant sign saying you're religious or something and don't celebrate Halloween for a little bit less of an evil method.

As long as it's an oversize package I'll be happy :)

Hey I just thought of a website concept "halloween-sanity-savers.com"
Products: doorbell buttons that connect to your mains electricity, self dispensing candy machines, popup aliens, signs that say "We don't celebrate Halloween here at the Psycho Ward but we do own shotguns!", ...

I'm off to check out affiliate programs...

Oz, back home we had the odd group of kids (no really, they were VERY odd:)) who'd come around every year. My mother would usually give them something, but not if I got there first ;) RARRR!

... self dispensing candy machines...

I was thinking the same thing after the fifth lot! :)

Westech

The problem with that is that after the first group all of the candy is gone.

Could have a timer or something, with 2 or 3 candies per 5 minutes max?

Are we getting too serious now?? Anyone have the number of the patent office?

I think they make dog feeders like that to feed your dog only a certain amount each day while you're on vacation. Hmmm...... :)

Yes only give candy to one group a day, perfect.

STUPID! Halloween, kids ringing- Me Mad- Ding - Dong - Ahh- Me getting Angrier - AHHH - NO candy - Let me be - AHHHH!

Tip: If you got your computer in your bedroom, turn all the lights off and spend the night in your room working on web sites. No lights= no knock knocks!!! I'm 27 and I have yet to ever hand out candy!! :D:D

For those that go out next year, try saying this...

Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat. If you don't, I don't care, I'll pull down your underware! :D:D:D:D:D

I'll be going out until I'm 27, myself, at least ;)
