Well it's not a webmaster book but How to Retire Happy, Wild and Free is a great book for us part time webmasters :)

LOL, books have never really helped me in the field of webmasterism except the first one I read, which was How To Make Your Own Website. Most stuff I know was picked up from examples I found online.

There are plenty of books that will help you with the technical side of things, but not how to make money.

I find that buying paper isn't very effective, and it's better to simply work from what you read in forums and websites because that's often the most up-to-date and best advice you can get.

If you want to be like Incka, you better memorize The Prince and The Art of War.

Never read either, well I read a chapter of the art of war from Chris' site, but that's not much...

I probably would, but I have a pile of book's I'm slowly getting through... If the library have it on audiobook it would be helpful as I can listen to it while working on the computer...

I am now obsessed with the Sweedish band ...In Flames.... It really helps me get my work done. The discs I currently am listening to are Whoracle, Colony, and Clayman.

Back to the topic briefly, I always tend to use articles from websites, or stuff from forums to learn. Books I find, tend to be out of date, slow to teach, and a little out of touch with 'real-life' on the web.

r2d2... indeed, the Internet is best way to learn webmastering technique. This site is a good example. I learned a good deal from this very site.

Try some Darkthrone.

On topic, no book can beat a website or message board. By the time the books printed its out of date. I used to laugh at the outdated computer manuals at my local library -- and this was in the mid 90s. On the other hand, for learning the basics they are the best place to start.
