What are all these very very strange backward links on Google?

geese those are some nasty looking spam pages. I have no doubt they were not like that when Chris got involved in a link exchange.

How come there are no links to www.websitepublisher.net in the source code of those spam pages, yet they show up as backlinking pages? Is it cloaking?

No, its just link rotating. The links displayed change on every page view. The backlinks you see are just the pages I appeared on when Google crawled.

When I joined it it was just supposed to be VB3 powered webmaster forums.
