Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page. In the context of search engine optimization, keyword density can be used to determine whether a web page is relevant to a specified keyword or keyword phrase.

In search engine optimization (SEO) keyword density is the measurement in percentage of the number of times a particular keyword or phrase appears compared to the total number of words in a page.

Keyword density is the number of times (normally presented as a percentage) a specific keyword or phrase appears on a page.

We know that the number of keywords on the page tells Google which search queries a page should be ranking for, we also know that the exact density of a keyword seems to change from keyword to keyword because analysis on pages that rank, across different searches, vary.
