Use Revolutions slider but i like the older version because it was very lite weight and easy to load. The latest version which was released after 2017 and recently releasing versions are taking too much time to load and unable to work on them.

Yeah even I too observed loading issues in revolution slides but still it is only the best slider plugin.

wmpudev is a huge community for web designers and developers.

Forgive my haste in making a conclusion, so its a safe bet what they are saying is correct, none the less more sources of information are always better.

The way google is moving with faster loading times amp and the spillover into how desktop sites look sliders are becoming obsolete in ux design. I wouldn't even bother with a plugin and just write my own if i had to.

They are trying to remove javascipt and css heavy resources and i think next to plain old images sliders are on the top of that list.
