The 404 Error Page, known as "page not found," is an HTTP[S] standardized status code that indicates an established connection with the server but an inability to find the page in question. Excessive 404 errors negatively impact a website's SEO and are lost revenue opportunities when the user does not ultimately navigate to the website.

A 404 error is an HTTP status code that means that the page you were trying to reach on a website couldn't be found on their server. 404 Not Found error messages are frequently customized by individual websites.

A 404 page error appears when a website is active, but the specific page within it doesn’t exist. A different error appears if the whole website you’re visiting is unavailable. One of the most common errors you can come across while browsing the Internet is a 404 or Page Not Found error.

A 404 error is an HTTP status code that means that the page you were trying to reach on a website couldn't be found on their server. The 404 Not Found error might appear for several reasons even though no real issue exists, so sometimes a simple refresh will often load the page you were looking for. The most common method is to retry the web page by pressing F5, clicking the refresh/reload button, or trying the URL from the address bar again.
