There are four primary software components to any given solution:

1) Software that exists on a media player;
2) content management or distribution software;
3) device management software
4) software for content creation.

Android is one the software that can be used. Software when installed it directly impacts functionality, security and business models.

Yes david is right and as I know digital signage android (http://www.novisign.com/android/android-based-digital-signage/) is a better option I saw many people use android software in there digital board, and it is quite easy to use and user friendly also.

Hi, I also think that Android is better for digital signage because there are hundreds of thousand people in the world who are using Android. So, you will cover a huge audience if you use the Android platform.

Cheers!

Fairly new OS for digital signage, becoming more popular in the past 2 – 3 years, mainly among SMBs and new digital signage implementers.
* OS used to be quite unstable, but dramatically improved in the last 2 years, nowadays we can consider it as a stable OS.
* Popular, easy to use, well familiar OS.
Windows is (still) the most common digital Signage player OS. Windows Players require license.
* Windows is very stable and well known system, almost anyone knows how to operate a windows based device.
