Guys teach me the difference between canonical url and canonical tags..Because i am new to seo.And also explain where and how to use??

Canonical Url is used to avoid duplicate content.By using the below sample code you can place canonical in your code in the head section.

https://www.example.com. It's a good idea to pick one of those URLs as your preferred (canonical) destination, and use 301 redirects to send traffic from the other URLs to your preferred URL. A server-side 301 redirect is the best way to ensure that users and search engines are directed to the correct page.

If webmaster may have duplicate or very similar content on different web pages/website then by adding a canonical URL, the webmaster is informing the search engine crawler to ignore the duplicate pages and consider the original page.
