Cross linking refers to the process of linking between two sites. Whether or not they are owned by the same person, cross linking is the process on which the internet is built. It allows users to reference sites with content similar to that which they are already viewing, and may be of further interest to them.

Cross Linking- a strategy that can come in handy to get high search engine rankings, by leveraging multiple domains owned by you. Search engines value these links, as they are from relevant sites, with related content- and you stand a chance of getting a better rank.

The most common practiced strategies for cross linking are- footer/sidebar links and in-content deep linking. If you have links to your page (containing your keywords) from other domain names, then this really works well with the search engines. This means that the key here is to cross linking these sites, with related and relevant content and using keywords . This will get you a higher rank for the keywords in question, and will benefit all your domains.

this is actual meaning of cross linking..It is an art of creating the links within a website. For example, if you have a webpage talking about on page factors, you will definitely mention about meta description, title tags etc. You having another webpage talking particularly about meta descriptions, you might link meta descriptions with on page factors. This is known as linking one webpage to another.

Cross Linking is the art of creating links within a website. In a very traditional layout you might have a home page and then to other pages (page A and page B). The home page would contain links to both.

Cross linking is linking between two sites whether they are owned by same person or not. Link Affiliation can be done for cross linking but take care you do not do spamming by linking each and every page.
