404 affects google rankings.If search engines find 404 while crawling they won't index the thepages.You need to fix these errors by permanently redirecting to the new page.

404 Page is very important to SEO, it affects the Google ranking. If a webpage is deleted from website, You must redirect to other web page by using a 301 redirect. If a page is super-authoritative, though, consider keeping that URL no matter how difficult.
