#1 on survival

As of right now I'm #1 on survival. I've been in the top 10 for awhile, even the top 3, but I just broke #1.

Maybe this is from mine and icebane's new link exchange, I don't know. But hey, I'm happy.

Congrats! It's so nice when something like that happens. Gives you a lift. I've been feeling down about my sites after last month (which was a top month!) as I've had a few things drop including revenue. Generally been a downer. Hopefully, I'll get a pickup soon :)

Pretty impressive. A #1 listing for a pretty competitive term and it's a single word, not a phrase. Seriously, that's something to be proud of. Your #1 out of 10,800,000 results. We'll never hear the end of it ;)

Hopefully "web templates" but realistically that goal is a few years away. I do hope to be ranked well or #1 on it in a few years though.

I was #1 for over a year, so I'm quite familiar with both the revenue potential and the difficulty/competition involved with the phrase.

Chris, with the looking-funky-in-firefox thing, I had the same problem on my site when I was laying it out in CSS. I think it was just a matter of a few px's in the div widths, etc...

Congrats, btw - you've deserved it. Now if only I could get TRAFFIC to my sites! Anyone care to be a voluntary private consultant?;)

If Google uses local rank (which I think they do) then yes because it is a link from an on topic site.

If Google doesn't use local rank we're just sharing PageRank, both giving and recieving, with the end result being very little difference.

Also there is a direct traffic benefit.

Awesome! If your rank increase is not cause of me, then the link from my site should definitely help clinch your continued high rank. I do not think it is from my site, it's been too soon. I'm still at #30 for 'outdoors' on google, and I'd think with your added link I should move up at least one spot. I also think you'll move up from #7 on the term 'wilderness' once our link exchange takes effect.

Probably 2 weeks tops.
