Honestly, the first thing I would do is get a top level domain name eg. .com , .net , .info etc...

Well you've got a good enough design :)

But I really would struggle to remember the url of that site with the domain you currently have.

namecheap.com is a good place, pretty cheap and easy to use interface.

it's a good domain. But only if you don't plan on getting the more advanced webmaster visiting. I would go for something that would leave you with a bit more scope to expand in the future. Don't burn your bridges.

By the way, you have a great design, and a great forum design.

No offence, but that forum design does not look good. I would considder something less bright with several colors to sepperate different blocks. The green is just to tiring on the eyes after a short time.

i want to ask, when i put links on my page, will i lose PR? how can i stop that?

Mike

Either using javascript links or redirect links.

You will lose PR if the link goes to an external site. The best way to reduce this is to have a large number of internal site links on the same page. That way, more of the page's PR will flow back into your site and less will be lost. Other ways to prevent losing PR include: creating the link using javascript, creating the link using a form and the use of an out.php type script.

i thought there is something with the robot.txt that you can do, is there?

Mike

That only stops google from going to that page/folder.

Mike

Just submit it again, it can take quite a few weeks for the search engines to index your page.

mrroger
