I've got a few domains that start with '4' or '2', and so does Chris and Miki and a few other people...

I was wondering if google sees these as in will it be ranked higher than an identical page in every way that instead of being '4' is something like 'your'?

Hard to say definitely but numbers do show up in search result (http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&lr=lang_en&ie=UTF-8&q=1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+0&btnG=Search) urls.

Yeah, I was wondering about this.

I want a domain that is 4keywordkeyword. The keywords are pretty good, but with the 4 in, will they not rank as well?

It shouldn't make any difference at all -- except in directories (or any other place that does alphabetical order).

I suppose more of the url is the keyword in 4keyword.com than in buykeyword.com...

But what would be the effect of people linking to you, using this site name like "4 keyword keyword" eg. In the DMOZ directory. You still aren't getting 100% targeted anchor text. Does this matter much?

Does having the 4 in the anchor text harm your ability to rank well for "keyword keyword"?
