What do you consider before you choose a keyword or keyword phrase to compete with ?

If there are variations that include that keyword.
We'll take a disagreement I have with incka. He started 4dictionary.com and is only going to target the word dictionay. I think he should target 'online dictionay' because that gets TONS of searches and encompasses dictionary.

It's somethin I always consider when targetting topics.

Wow i know pr is not much of factor as it use to be but wow all the top links are pr8 and above...

What are some resources to find phrases ? other than wordtracker ?

I consider the amount of searches, competition for those searches (PR and backlinks of the top 10 sites) and then decide if I have the ability to beat the current competitors for that search term.

I will get to the top position, wait and see... The top one only recently got up to PR8...

Does this tool use the full paid version of Wordtracker, or only the free one (it uses only altavista I think)?
